Tap the '+' button and scan a physical card, barcode, QR code or import a card from another card app. You can also add a customer card manually and import cards.
Sure. Unfortunately, there is no direct way to transfer cards from other card apps to FreeWally. Many card apps keep your cards in their own closed system. Fortunately, FreeWally has created a possibility to import cards anyway. It has to be card by card. Fortunately, it is only a one-time job and you can save all your cards in FreeWally. For an explanation you can tap the (i) button at the top of the add screen.
For a long time press a card in the overview. A menu will appear to the card edit, delete or at export.
Quick Scan allows you to read ad hoc barcodes, QR codes or NFC tags. An example card is then made that you can save.
In the settings screen you can manage your allergies. Turn the allergies on or off and indicate what you're allergic to when using the allergy list. FreeWally will warn you when scanning the barcode of a food product. FreeWally reads the ingredients list of the product and compares it to your allergies.
Sure. Customer cards and vouchers can also be used on a suitable Apple Watch. You can even add a button on a dial of the Apple Watch so you can open FreeWally directly.
There is no limit to the number of cards you can save in FreeWally. However, the number of cards you can save can be limited by the storage capacity of your device. It is also possible that the response rate of FreeWally may decrease with a large number of cards. You can then choose to reduce the logos, FreeWally will then use less memory and react faster.
There is no exact date known for the Android version of FreeWally. The Android version is expected to be available by 2026.
Yes. FreeWally contains no ads, no tracking and does not sell personal data. Everything is stored locally on your device and is not shared with third parties. You therefore have the care to make a backup of your cards and data. This can be done via the built-in iCloud backup option or regular export of cards and store them in files in the iCloud for example.
When scanning and copying a barcode or QR code, the original barcode is stored in FreeWally. Also a generated barcode is always created. This to make sure the barcode can always be read. Sometimes an original barcode cannot be read by a shop scanner due to insufficient quality. Some barcodes also contain a different encoding. By switching between the original and the generated barcode, you can always show a barcode that can be read by the shop scanner.
No. You can just save and execute action cards on your phone. For some situations it can be useful to capture the action cards externally in the form of a QR code or a NFC tag. See the practice examples in the website.
You can buy NFC tags and a label printer for example Amazon.nl and Bol.com.
For NFC tags are NTAG215 or NTAG216 recommended. These have enough memory capacity for all actions.
NTAG213 tags may contain too little memory for larger actions, such as emails.
